How this is measured
Mentioned processes GDELT Project's 15-minute GKG files. For each curated target, a valid source record counts at most once when an exact configured entity name or exact configured GKG theme matches. A current result requires 192 consecutive intervals, aggregated into 32 timing bars. More detail on the methodology page, or read the practical stock-mention tracking guide.
Frequently asked
- What is this leaderboard?
- It ranks curated stock targets by matched GDELT Project source records in the current complete 48-hour window. For each target, one source record counts at most once when an exact configured entity name or GKG theme matches. It measures references, not value.
- How often does it update?
- GDELT publishes nominal 15-minute source intervals, but publication, collection, and validation delays can postpone a complete result. The page shows the snapshot time so you can judge freshness directly.
- Where does the data come from?
- The active lane uses GDELT Project GKG data. Mentioned uses a reviewed exact entity-name and GKG-theme map, rejects ambiguous matches, and publishes aggregate counts only.
- Does a high mention count mean a stock will go up?
- No. A matched-record count measures references in the configured source window, not sentiment or a prediction of price. Mentioned does not issue buy or sell recommendations or price targets.
